Bernice and Peter

09.04.10

Bernice and Peter are getting married next year in Sonoma, CA at Viansa Winery. I just returned from photographing a friends wedding in Northern California and was lucky enough to get to check out their venue. It was gorgeous!

They wanted to do their engagement session on Chicago's North Shore. We started near my studio in Evanston!

It was definitely hot out but they were both troopers! I am sure people love me when I tell them to let their eyes burn in the sun. =)

We spotted a deer!

After some scorching sun they decided to treat themselves to a popsicle!

Bernice played stylist for the day and managed to pull off some really cool outfits!

I love this one.

A final shot of Bernice before we headed to Wilmette. Love this photo of her!

The Bahai Temple is amazing!

Peter asked Bernice to marry him in this very spot.

We finished our shoot across the street at the boat docks.

I must go back here!

Can't wait to see you both in Sonoma. It's going to be amazing!

Joann and Greg

09.04.10

I will be shooting Joann and Greg's wedding next week! I wanted to post some of my favorites before their big day at Salvage One.

They met freshman year at the University of Chicago so we started their shoot in Hyde Park and made our way to campus!

Hyde Park had some of the cool mosaic murals that are also featured on Chicago's north side.

Gotta represent!

And then we walked around campus together.

I love this campus so much. It's beautiful!

I love this shot of Joann.

The light was definitely on our side!

Give me a building covered with ivy and I am a happy camper!

Greg was much taller than Joann so we had to do this shot!

A quick outfit change and we headed downtown.

See you both next week for more photos!

Jennifer and Adam

08.19.10

Jennifer and Adam will be my first wedding of 2011 and at one of my favorite venues, Salvage One. We recently shot their engagement session and brought along their puggle for a few shots!

He was definitely entertaining himself.

Gotta love a puggle face! Yes, I am a little puggle crazy.

And he was over it...

The light on the northwest side was working to our advantage!

After a few shots around their 'hood we headed to Wrigley. They also met here!

United!

The green.

Our last stop was Belmont harbor at dusk. I really love what we got here.

The pink sunset was great.

I am really loving this one!

Can't wait to see you in 2011!

Ashley and Rick

08.17.10

I had the pleasure of meeting Ashley a few weeks ago at a wedding we worked on together. Ashley works as a sales consultant for Food For Thought and her fiance Rick is an instructor at The Chopping Block. Their idea of starting in Lincoln Park at the Farmers Market was perfect.

Checking out the goods.

Some old fashion corn shuckin'.

We headed across the street to A New Leaf. I could shoot here all day!

Their outfit choices were perfect! I loved it.

We loved the rustic doors in the courtyard.

The coach house was awesome too!

We headed down the street to Pipers Alley.

We ran inside for some popcorn.

Sneaking in for a quick shot.

The meat packing district was also perfect for two foodies!

I love this wall!

Ashley gives the camera some cheese!

It was great working with you on your engagements. Have fun at your wedding! Wish I could be there.

Paul and Julia

08.03.10

Paul and Julia were a blast. I love when clients are a little unsure of being photographed and then everything just "clicks". No pun intended!

We started our session on the tracks.

Some goofiness is always required!

I love this little spot we found. I discovered it a few weeks ago and headed back here with Paul and Julia.

It's great!

Love this one!

I will be sad when they destroy the destroyed.

We left and headed to Life's Too Short. This place is becoming one of the hot spots for my clients. They are rebuilding this abandoned bar. Not sure how long this will be around either! =(

Paul is from Australia so we had to represent the Foster's surfboard!

We got hungry after all of the locations we hit. Hot dog time!

Flub A Dub Chub's is one of their favorite hot dog joints in the city. If you are in Lakeview you should definitely check it out!

The owner was so nice! She let us photograph all over the place.

Chicago style means NO KETCHUP! =)

Oops. Julia broke the rules.

Paul makes sure that Julia is camera ready before we cool off in Lincoln Park!

One last shot...

And then we ended our session by cooling off. So much fun!

Can't wait for the wedding next weekend!
