Alison and Christian were married earlier this summer, and they invited Braxton along to be their photographer. I’m proud to showcase some of my favorite images from the day, and I hope you enjoy them, too!

Alison and Christian had a busy day planned, and that day began with the wedding party getting ready. There was hair and makeup to be styled, gowns to be put on, corsages to affix- lots of details to tend to. But being surrounded by family and friends made the process fun and easy.

The guys were looking spiffy as they gathered their things and headed out to meet the girls. They even had special matching socks that they showed off for the camera!

Christian took his place at the designated meeting spot for the couple’s first look at each other. A few minutes later he was joined by his bride, and the two had a brief portrait session before the group headed out for pre-ceremony pictures.

The pre-ceremony shoot began with a stroll down Michigan Avenue, with stops at the Art Institute and Millennium Park. This is a popular stop for wedding pictures- and with good reason! There are tons of gorgeous backdrops for photos, and they were taken advantage of, for sure.

Alison and Christian were serenaded by a sax player before they jumped on the trolley and headed to the museum campus.

This location offers one of the best views of the Chicago skyline, and I’m glad that the day was so gorgeous!

The group enjoyed one last round of drinks on the way back to City Winery where the ceremony and reception were held.

All the details were in place (including this amazing cake), so the group had some time to relax and enjoy the moments before the ceremony. Braxton set out to take pictures of the details as guests arrived and took their seats. Soon enough, the musicians began to play- the cue to everyone that the wedding ceremony was starting! It was a beautiful ceremony, too, as you’ll see in this collection of favorites from the service.

Congratulations, Alison and Christian! Hi-fives all around!

The party took place inside City Winery, beginning with cocktails and continuing with a wonderful dinner. There were speeches as well, complete with toasts from friends and advice from family.

Dancing started with Alison and Christian’s first dance as a married couple, and continued with dances shared with their parents.

Christian had a special treat for his bride! Look at him here, performing his heart out!

I think it was a hit- and the perfect way to open up the dance floor for everyone. The guests piled on and showed off some of their best moves, as evidenced by these great dance floor pictures:

What a party! Congratulations on your marriage, Christian and Alison, and wonderful work, Braxton!
