It’s been quite a winter here in Chicago!
A little snow wasn’t going to damper Abby’s spirits, though! It was her and Mike’s wedding day, and things were off to a great start. There were smiles all around as the bride was joined by her bridesmaids as they prepared for the walk down the aisle.
Braxton was there with them, capturing all the special moments of the day.
And the sash completed the look. Abby was ready to get married!
Mike was too, as he waited on the roof of the hotel for his first look at Abby.
Braxton was thrilled that Abby and Mike weren’t afraid of the snow and cold, braving the elements to get some fantastic pictures.
Family looked on as the bride and groom savored their first look.
One last, quick rooftop smooch…
…and then it was time to head out for pictures. Abby couldn’t have looked more beautiful… the perfect winter bride!
And Mike looked handsome as well. It’s amazing how well the boots go with the tux!
The wedding party was amazing- it’s not easy to pose for pictures in a Chicago snowstorm while wearing a sleeveless dress!
Look at that smile! Abby was loving every minute!
Understandably, some were very much looking forward to getting back on the bus.
Next, everyone strapped on their galoshes and marched onto State Street.
And just down the road was the LaSalle Street Bridge.
Excellent work! Abby and Mike posed for one last picture…
…and then it was time to move to the venue. The ceremony would be starting soon!
The runner was carefully laid out…
…marking the path for Abby and her parents to walk.
Abby and Mike held their ceremony at the Crystal Garden in Navy Pier. Such a cool place to say “I do!”
And then they were husband and wife!
Congratulations!
The newlyweds took a few moments to themselves after the ceremony…
…taking a break here and there to smile for the camera.
The reception kicked off with toasts begin delivered by family and friends, which are featured in this next series of photos.
Here’s to Abby and Mike!
Following speeches, Mike and Abby took to the dance floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.
And then everyone joined in on the fun!
I love that the ferris wheel was shining in the background during the dancing. It makes the party all the more festive!
Everybody brought their best moves to the floor…
…and some were overcome by the power of the dance!
The wedding was a complete success. As the party was in full swing, Braxton pulled the couple away for one last picture…
…in front of the ferris wheel. Beautiful!
Congratulations on your marriage, Abby and Mike!
