I’ve been looking forward to Caitlin and Mike’s wedding day for awhile, especially after the fun time we had at their engagement shoot earlier this summer. I was excited that the day had arrived and looking forward to spending time with this amazing couple again.
The day started in Caitlin’s bridal suite as she was preparing to slip into her dress. With a little help from her mom, Caitlin climbed into the gown, and after checking a few other details, the bride was ready to go meet up with her groom!

Caitlin and Mike held their first look in garden at the Art Institute. The excited smile on Mike’s face says it all– he was ready to get married! The two took a few minutes to take in the moment, and then we set to work, taking photos around the garden. After some time with just Caitlin and Mike, the rest of the bridal party jumped in for their turn.

When we had finished in the garden, the crew jumped into the party bus and made its way to the LaSalle St. bridge, where we took the next round of pictures.

Caitlin and Mike’s ceremony and reception were held at The South Branch, where the family gathered to witness the signing of the ketubah. Flanked by their parents, the couple read and signed this beautiful ceremonial document.

Moments after the signing, we moved out into the South Bank’s courtyard, nestled in between some of the city’s tallest buildings.

The ceremony was held in this courtyard, where all of Mike and Caitlin’s friends and family had gathered to watch them say their ‘I do’s’. The meaningful and beautiful ceremony followed many Jewish traditions, as you’ll see in the images below.

After the vows and rings were exchanged, the ceremony concluded with the breaking of a glass.

Mazel tov, Caitlin and Mike! You’re officially married! The newlyweds went back into the restaurant to spend some moments alone together before joining their guests for cocktails.

The reception kicked off with Mike and Caitlin sharing their first dance as a married couple.

Caitlin’s mom could barely contain her happiness!

After dinner, Mike’s brother kicked off the speeches with a loving tribute to the couple.

Caitlin’s dad thanked everyone for joining him and his family in celebrating.

Caitlin’s attendants gave a toast in her honor, too.

Next up were parent dances, as Mike danced with his mother before Caitlin and her father took their turn.

Then it was hora time! Everyone joined hands and danced this traditional favorite!

Whew! It was a lot of partying! Everyone flooded the dance floor to get their boogie on, as you’ll see in this collection of images from Caitlin and Mike’s dance party:

What a party! Thank you for sharing it with me, Caitlin and Mike. Congratulations on your marriage!
