When I arrived at the suite Chelsea and Sean shared for getting ready, I was happy to see that the party had already started! Sean’s best man was doing a stellar job of fulfilling his duties, entertaining by playing piano and having everyone sing along. It was the perfect soundtrack for “getting ready” and a festive way to start the day.

And here’s bride Chelsea just before putting on her gown. Her mother and bridesmaids were at her side to help her in to the dress and make sure that everything was perfect.

As Chelsea attended to some final preparations…

…Sean took his place in the designated “first look” spot. Moments later, Chelsea joined him on the patio and the two shared a special moment together (as Chelsea’s mom watched from the window, of course!).

And then we were off! Chelsea led the way as we headed out to the Chicago streets for a pre-ceremony photo shoot.

Our first stop was the lovely garden at the Art Institute. Everything was so lush and green, and these two were so comfortable in front of the camera. I knew we were in for a day a full of awesome pictures!

The wedding party was on hand, too, and they jumped in to frame for a group shot (and to ‘ooh’ and ‘aww’ as Cheslea and Sean shared a kiss).

The maid of honor and best man had some camera time with the couple, too!

Then everyone piled on to the bus as we headed out to our next stop. Energy was high and the group was having a great time! The mood continued as we spilled out on to the LaSalle street bridge and wedding day hijinks ensued.

The best man hopped up on the beam to get everyone’s attention and rally the troops: time for the ceremony!

Chelsea was escorted down the aisle by her mother and father, seen here going in for a big hug.

Chelsea and Sean linked arms, took their place at the front of the room and the ceremony began. And what a gorgeous ceremony it was, too. The room was decorated impeccably, with so many details and fantastic floral design. The light from the atrium windows poured in, giving the gathering a perfect glow. I could have spent hours in the room taking pictures– and got a ton of incredible photos during the ceremony. A few of my favorites follow:

With rings and vows exchanged, Chelsea and Sean were married! Congratulations!! They made their big exit…

…and were soon joined by the wedding party who couldn’t contain their emotions any longer.

A friend of the couple presided over the ceremony, and the newlyweds joined him after the proceedings as he completed the marriage license. It’s official!

The guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while the reception wall was prepared for the party. I snuck up before the guests to photograph the details and, honestly, my breath was taken away. It was nothing short of amazing. Lori of LOLA Event Productions deserves a round of applause for helping make Chelsea and Sean’s dream wedding come to life. I mean… look at these details!

Can we talk about the variety of floral arrangements and decorations produced by HMR Designs. Everywhere I looked I saw a colorful, interesting and beautiful detail.

The tables were all set and ready for a delicious meal to be served by Jewell Events Catering.

And can you believe these cakes!?!? These works of confectionary art were made by the team at Elysia Root Cakes. I almost felt bad when they were cut into for guests to enjoy!

The whole affair was out of control. I was ready for the guests to see it and for the party to get started!

The reception officially began when Chelsea and Sean took to the floor for their first dance. They moved their feet to the music provided by Arlen Music Productions, who kept the tunes coming all night.

While the guests enjoyed dinner, I snuck around taking more pictures of the room. I couldn’t stop! It was a photographer’s dream come true!

The parents of the newlyweds gave a group toast, followed by speeches from the best man and maid of honor.

As the music began to play, I caught a special moment between Chelsea’s mom and dad as they danced. So lovely!

Chelsea and her father had a special moment, too, as they shared a dance.

And then everyone hit the floor– and boy, was this crowd ever ready to party. Check out some of my favorite moments from Chelsea and Sean’s dance party:

What a night! As guests made their way out of the reception they were treated to another surprise: each guest got a bouquet of fresh flowers– prepared by a florist stationed by the door. What a beautiful way to end the night!

Chelsea and Sean, you sure do know how to throw a party!! Congratulations on your marriage and thank-you for including me!
