Eileen and Omer were my first wedding couple of 2016! They said their “I do’s” a few weeks ago at the gorgeous and historic Chicago Athletic Hotel just across the street from Millennium Park. They had an intimate party planned that included their closest family and friends. I was excited to join them and share in the fun!

Eileen was setting up with her mother when I arrived. The bride created all of the details- she even designed the invitation suite! She did an amazing job, too, as you can see in these images:

Eileen grabbed her bouquet for a picture. This bundle of gorgeous was crafted by the florists at Asrai Garden.

All the details were in place and the table was ready for the party.

As guests arrived, they were immediately drawn to the balcony, which boasted this amazing view.

Once everyone was there, they found their seats and settled in for the marriage ceremony.

Eileen’s brother served as the officiant for the ceremony which featured traditions such as signing a ketubah and toasts from their loved ones.

There were congratulations (and hugs) all around!

Omer’s son shared words of love with the newlyweds.

Once their rings and vows had been exchanged, Omer and Eileen began their marriage with the traditional breaking of the glass…

…and a first kiss.

Eileen’s mother was the first to congratulate the bride. You can just see the happiness on her face!

Right after the ceremony we took group pictures. Omer’s son volunteered to kick things off.

Then Eileen posed with her best friends.

Eileen’s brother and sister in law took a turn, too.

Omer’s son and niece were having fun goofing around with each other while the others were taking pictures.

Cocktails were served while the guests visited, and eventually, everyone settled down for the meal.

It was very cold that day, and after a few moments on the balcony, Omer needed to warm up by the fire!

While the others finished up their meal, Eileen, Omer and I went to check out the basketball courts.

Omer wasn’t shy about showing off some of his skills!

He was really good!!

We joined the others upstairs…

…for one quick picture on that amazing balcony.

Then we bundled everyone up and headed across the street to visit the bean.

There were smiles all around as the group posed with this Chicago landmark.

Nothing like an impromptu bouquet toss.

I had a great time photographing your wedding and meeting your family, Omer and Eileen. Many congratulations to you both as you begin your marriage!
