Look who it is!

Ellen was very, very excited to get her wedding day started! When I arrived at the church where she and Dave would soon be getting married, the bride was peeking out the window to let everyone know she was ready to go. I was excited to get started too, so I ushered Dave into his spot, prepping him for the first look.

Ellen bounced out the door of the church, walking up to Dave and giving him a big hug. It was a very happy moment and the perfect way to start the wedding day!
Just a few minutes later, Dave was at the front of the Sanctuary, watching as Ellen walked the aisle with her father.
Dave’s niece was in awe of Ellen, and was in love with everything about this wedding. Look at that little face! I bet she’s already making plans for her wedding day…
Ellen joined hands with Dave in front of the altar and the ceremony began. It was a beautiful ceremony at that, filled with traditions previously celebrated by generations of their family.
And then they were officially official! The glowing bride and groom made their exit down the aisle and then hid themselves in a nearby waiting room.
Guests lined up outside the church, ready to shower the newlyweds with bubbles upon their exit.
Dave, Ellen and their bridal party jumped on the bus and we all headed out for the portrait session. We made our way to a nearby forest preserve and set to work. This place was gorgeous, and our timing couldn’t have been any better- the fall colors were at their peak! It was a dream location for this photographer…
…just be on the lookout for track practice!
I love this picture of Ellen… the lighting couldn’t have been more perfect.
When Dave and Ellen’s portrait session was finished, Ellen gave a shout for the rest of the bridal party to join them.
The group walked over to where we were set up…
…everyone took their spot and we got started!
This groomsman was ready to dance, and did some light stretching/warmup in preparation.
The whole crew jumped back on the bus once we were done, and we traveled to the reception. During the trip, I’m afraid Dave caught a bubble with his mouth!
When we arrived at Meson Sabika, Dave’s mom was waiting for us. Her smile says it all– she was very happy for Dave and Ellen!
The groomsmen were feeling warm and cuddly, so we took a few pictures of the guys together before making an entrance into the reception.
After dinner, Ellen’s dad kicked off the speeches with a toast in honor of the newlyweds.
Ellen’s mom listened from the front table with a smile on her face.
When the toasts were finished, Ellen and Dave hit the dance floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.
And then everyone joined the party! The guests were having a great time as they enjoyed drinks, music and dancing… a great time was had by all, as you’ll see in this next collection of images.
What a party! Thank you for inviting me to join in the celebration, Ellen and Dave! Congratulations on your marriage!
