Leah and I traveled to Madison, WI recently to photograph Jamie and Dave’s engagement session. It was my first time visiting the city and was looking forward to the tour this wonderful couple offered up.

I just about passed out when I saw this lineup of colorful chairs and tables. Why can’t this be my backyard?

We took a seat at one of the best tables while Jamie and Dave told me more about themselves… but something about these just wasn’t right…

… that’s much better!

Our walk by the lake continued down by the pier, where we watched the sailboats float by.

And we had to take advantage of a nearby park which featured some lovely, nature-filled backdrops.

The next stop was supposed to be an art museum in downtown Madison, but wouldn’t you know it? It was closed on Mondays!

No worries! Nearby was the Wisconsin Capitol building, which was begging to be photographed.

After a quick outfit change, we headed back down by the lake. I think this might be my favorite photo from the shoot!

Dave showed some love for his home state.

Go Badgers!

All this walking and posing for photos was causing Dave and Jaime to work up an appetite…

…they didn’t have to ask twice to stop for a slice!

Yum!

Our last stop was the university campus for a little (harmless) graffiti.

Thanks for the tour of Madison, Jaime and Dave! And congratulations on your engagement!
