Jamie and Omer met and were married while overseas, so when they were back in the states, the couple’s family wanted to throw a celebration in their honor. Jamie’s sister is Julie, whose wedding I photographed a few years ago. So when they asked me to photograph Jamie and Omer’s day, I leapt at the opportunity to work with this wonderful family again!

The day began at Jamie’s parent’s home, where both the bride and groom made their preparations. When I arrived, Omer was in his suit and ready to go!

Jamie was just about ready to go as well…
…after receiving a little help from her sister!
We made our way to North Shore Congregation Israel, where the ceremony and reception were held. I spent some time with Jamie and Omer, taking portraits around the grounds. It was the perfect day for taking wedding photos outdoors!
We were having fun, but the time had arrived for us to go back to the synagogue- friends and family were beginning to gather for the Ketubah signing.
Jamie, Omer and their family made their way up to the room where the Ketubah was waiting. Once everyone gathered around the couple, the document was read out loud, then signed by Omer, Jamie and their witnesses.
Jamie’s mom couldn’t have looked more happy for her daughter.
And Omer’s mother couldn’t have been more proud of her son!
With the Ketubah signed, it was time for the ceremony! Jaime’s mom and sister helped her to get ready, and a few minutes later, she was walking down the aisle.
The ceremony was held just outside of the synagogue on this beautiful patio. As I said before, it was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding, and the ceremony was just as beautiful as the weather!
The ceremony site was gorgeous, too, thanks in part to Kelly from Clementine Custom Events, who helped plan all the details.
Congratulations, Jamie and Omer! The happy couple walked back down the aisle to the sound of cheers and applause from their guests.
They took a few minutes to themselves immediately after the ceremony…
…but it wasn’t too long before they were making their grand entrance during the reception.
While the guests enjoyed a delicious brunch, Jamie’s father took to the microphone to thank guests for spending the day with his family. He made sure to share some funny memories with everyone, too!
Then Julie, Jamie’s sister, and her husband Spencer delivered a toast. You could tell how much Jamie appreciated her sister’s words!
The speeches were finished, but the party went on as guests enjoyed great food and fantastic company.
Congratulations on your marriage, Jamie and Omer! And thank you for including me in the celebration!
