Julie and William’s wedding day had finally arrived and I was happy and honored to be with them to document the day. I met up with Julie in her bridal suite where her sister was lending a hand as the bride made her preparations. With Julie’s hair and makeup were complete, there was only one thing left to do… put on the dress!
Julie looked beautiful, and her smile spread from ear to ear. Moments after this picture was taken, we were out the door and on our way to meet up with William.
Julie and William shared their first look at a park near their home. William lit up when he turned around and saw Julie in her gown… the two couldn’t stop looking at each other!
They both wiped away happy tears (but the smiles stayed!) and we headed out to take a few pre-ceremony portraits.
We took a few pictures in the park near their home, and before hitting the road, we made a special stop…
Julie and William have a special friend in the person who works the front desk at their condo building. They wanted to stop by to surprise her…
…and, of course, get a hug.
Julie, William and I had a fun time cruising around town taking pictures. We made a stop at the Monster House…
…and then spent a few minutes on the riverwalk.
Finally, it was time for the ceremony. Julie and William held theirs at famed Chicago restaurant Carnivale. I loved the ceremony space with all its bright and celebratory colors. Take a look in these photos from the marriage ceremony:
When the ceremony concluded, guests enjoyed cocktail hour before sitting down to dinner. While seats were found, Julie and her mother attended to the gown, prepping the bride for her entrance into the room.
A delicious meal was served, and when guests were done eating, the Best Man and Maid of Honor delivered congratulatory toasts in honor of the newlyweds.
After speeches, William and Julie shared their first dance as husband and wife…
…and then everyone joined them on the dance floor! And what a celebration it was, too! See for yourself in this collection of images from William and Julie’s dance party:
DJ Ruby of Toast & Jam did an amazing job providing the soundtrack for the evening.
What a great party! What an awesome day! Thank you for sharing it with me, Julie and William… and congratulations on your marriage!
