Kate began her wedding day by flashing off one of the happiest, brightest smiles I’ve seen all year! It’s a smile that stayed on her face all day as she and her partner Chris celebrated their wedding day. Braxton was with them as well, and he made sure to capture every wonderful moment. The following is a collection of some of my favorites from the day:
I love this picture of a bridesmaid tending to her toes.
There was excitement and happiness all around as the bride and her bridesmaids got ready.
Chris was pretty happy and excited, too. For the wedding, of course, but also for the chance to use his Blackhawks beer holder. I want one of those!
Kate receives a hand getting into her dress…
…and every detail is double-checked to make sure it’s perfect.
This photo is FANTASTIC!
The bride was prepped and ready- time to walk the aisle!
The gorgeous bride made her way down the aisle…
…and joined her (soon-to-be) husband at the altar.
The bride was given away…
…and the ceremony began.
During the ceremony, Kate and Chris exchanged rings and vows…
…and then they were declared married! Congratulations!
Friends and family showered them with bubbles as they exited the church.
Right after the ceremony, the wedding party made their way to the party bus and headed out for a portrait session around the city.
Again, those Blackhawks beer cozies look like a lot of fun. Where can I get one!?!?
They have so many uses!
Cheers to Kate and Chris!
The first stop for portraits was the Lily Pond in Lincoln Park. The next few pictures were taken at this beautiful backdrop.
After the Lily Pond, the gang crossed through the tunnel…
…to take some pictures in other parts of the park.
Braxton did an amazing job with the next two photos; beautiful portraits taken at just the right moment of sunset.
Then it was time for the party! Take a look at Kate and Chris’s personalized cake topper:
Moments before joining their guests, the newlyweds exchanged gifts.
After dinner, friends and family delivered speeches in honor of the couple.
With the last of the toasts delivered, Kate and Chris opened up the dance floor by sharing their first dance as husband and wife.
And that was just the start! Next up were parent dances…
…and then everyone hit the floor!
It looks like this dance floor was off the chain- everyone brought out their best moves!
And what’s a party without a conga line!?!?
What a night! It looks like Kate and Chris kicked off their marriage in the most fun way possible!
Congratulations on your marriage, Kate and Chris! And as always, excellent work, Braxton!
