It was the morning of Kim’s wedding to Dave, and with some help from her bridesmaids, she was making some last-minute, minor alterations to her dress. Braxton was with the crew, photographing every moment of the preparations.
And they were successful preparations, at that! Kim looked amazing!
Her hair was perfect…
…the shoes were gorgeous…
…and don’t get me started on this out-of-this-world bouquet.
WIth every detail in place, Kim set out for her first meeting with Dave.
The bride and groom were beaming from ear to ear when they had their first glimpse of each other.
Kim and Dave had big plans for their wedding day, and they needed fuel to keep running. A nearby food truck was just the ticket!
After the quick pit stop, the gang piled in to the party bus and headed out on the town for a round of pre-ceremony portraits.
There were a ton of great spots for Braxton to pose the couple in front of in the Humbolt Park neighborhood…
…and friendly faces looking to pose with them!
The groomsmen posed for a group picture…
…and then Dave started feeling frisky!
Braxton and I both love working with couples who are up for making a lot of stops during their pre-ceremony shoot. The following is a collection of some more of my favorites from their time together:
All this picture-taking works up a thirst, so the wedding party stopped in a nearby store to pick up some refreshments.
Excellent choice!
Drinks in tow, there was one more stop to make…
…one of my favorite murals!
Then, after the final group portrait, it was time to head to the ceremony.
Everyone was dressed in their finest outfits!
Kim made her way down the aisle…
…and took her place next to Dave.
The bride and groom took turns exchanging rings and vows…
…and then they were married!
Congratulations!
Kim stopped to give her best buddies a little love right after the ceremony.
And then it was time for the celebration!
The newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception…
…and took care of some very important business straight away.
After everyone had finished dinner, friends and family delivered toasts in the couple’s honor.
With speeches completed, Kim and Dave took to the dance floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.
The parents had their turn…
…and then everyone hit the floor!
And they were ready to party, too.
Nice move, Dave! He didn’t spill a drop of that drink!
Bottoms up, ladies!
What a celebration! Congratulations on your marriage, Dave and Kim!
