Kristina and Karl are getting married this October at the Art Institute- one of my favorite venues! The three of us got together a few weeks ago for their engagement session, which started in the West Loop. We enjoyed a stroll along the river as we got to know each other better and they filled me in on details of their big day.

The weather was a little chilly that day, but there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Perfect for taking a few pictures with the city skyline!

We left the river and began our trek toward downtown, stopping along the way to pose with some of my favorite murals.

And no photo session in the West Loop is complete without stopping by my favorite backdrop!

Our next stop was Lincoln Park. This is an especially important place for Kristina and Karl. North Pond, the restaurant in the park, is where Karl popped the question. I had a great time hearing all about that special moment – and many others – while we walked around the grounds.

Our last stop was, of course, North Pond. I’m sure Kristina and Karl will be coming back here for years to come!

I’m already looking forward to October and your big day, Kristina and Karl! It’ll be here before we know it!
