We started the day at Lauren’s grandmothers house. The day started off a little rainy but it ended up being a perfect day!
Her father wanted a ‘tie check’.
Gabe’s mother and friend…
Her grandma got caught fixing her hair!
This guy was waiting on the couple so that we could start photos…
I love this one….
This guy was part of their first meeting!
I love the kitchiness of the first meeting!
Gabe cleaning off some lipstick…
and kissing a gnome.
Their friend from Brooklyn had to get it on film too!
All of the helping hands! Had to make sure that the dress did not get dirty. Not sure what is going on with the other hand on Gabe!
Her grandmothers attic was amazing!
The car that they rented was pretty amazing too!
Some beautiful light…
And we arrived at UIC…
The wedding party joined us…
A quick drink before we take more pics…
The sun came out and Gabe got really excited…
and then he handed me a brick. I am still not really sure why??
I LOVED this location!
Are you kidding me!!?? I loved it.
We stopped at a bookstore that Lauren worked at on campus for a few shots…
Gabe gets attacked after picking on Lauren…
And the ceremony begins!
Bond Chapel still amazes me every time that I shoot there! Eddie got this great shot of Lauren and her father…
Some great light from the stained glass windows!
She just could not contain the tears!
And the new couple…
It was not raining but Lauren and Gabe had to wear poncho’s for what was about to happen…
Yes, we CLIMBED to the top of this chapel…
SCARY
And we stopped for a few shots. It was really dirty on the way up the winding staircase. They were told to cover up so that the dress and suit would stay clean.
This was at the very top. I am scared of heights!!! Anything for the shot, right?
And the frightening staircase.
I love Gabes ‘we did it’ shot!
Then we headed over to Woodlawn Tap in Hyde Park.
Gabe had to show off Lauren’s shoe choice.
And then we headed back to the Newberry…
The food was waiting for them as soon as they arrived.
The first dance..
Some speeches!
And the dancing begins…
Thanks for having me! Good times!!!
