Lisa and Hannah’s wedding day had arrived and I couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of their day. They had a big celebration planned and both brides were ready to get it started. First, though, the brides had to get ready, which they did in separate hotel suites. I was with Hannah (below) while Braxton was with Lisa.

Hannah had plenty of hands available to help, including her sister, seen her cozying up to the bride.

Hannah’s mom was beaming as she did up the buttons on the dress, then sent Hannah out to be viewed by her friends.

There were just a few more details to tend to before heading out to meet up with Lisa.

While Hannah was wrapping up her preparations, Lisa was opening a card from her bride. After reading Hannah’s heartfelt words, Lisa grabbed her bouquet, posed for one more portrait, then walked out of the hotel.

The brides met up right outside of the hotel for their first look. As you can see, they were beyond happy and excited. They took a few minutes to savor the moment, and then we were off and running with a pre-ceremony photo shoot.

We didn’t have to go far to arrive at our first stop: the Art Institute Garden. It’s a beautiful backdrop for pictures and we made great use of it!

We began to make our way to the venue and stopped off at some pretty cool murals along the way. Lisa and Hannah were game for pretty much anything– we were having a lot of fun taking these pictures!

I could have taken pictures around town all day with these two, but we had to make sure they got married!

We arrived at Greenhouse Loft just before family gathered for the signing of the Ketubah. There was so much love in that room as the people most important to Lisa and Hannah joined in the wedding tradition.

Moments after the Ketubah was signed, the ceremony began. Hannah was escorted down the aisle by her parents; Lisa was escorted by her mother. When the brides were in front of the assembly, the Rabbi began the ceremony. It was a wonderful ceremony at that, filled with meaning, tradition and love.

With rings exchanged, a glass broken and kiss shared, Lisa and Hannah were married! Congratulations!

The newlyweds entered the reception hall, met with the sound of cheers and applause from their guests. Everything looked great, with many thanks to Heathery Vickery and Ellen Donaghy of Greatest Expectations, who helped Hannah and Lisa plan the day.

The brides shared their first dance together as a married couple…

…and then Lisa’s mom gave a toast in honor of the newlyweds.

Hannah’s mom and dad were up next with their loving tributes.

And then the couple took to the microphone to thank their guests for spending the day with them.

With their ‘thank you’ delivered, the brides cued the band and the dancing began!

And I was happy to see that my favorite dance was up first… the Hora! Lisa, Hannah and their mothers had a blast participating in this fun tradition.

…and things were just getting warmed up. These guests came to dance! See for yourself in this collection of images from Hannah and Lisa’s dance party:

What a blast! Thank you for sharing your day with me, Hannah and Lisa! And congratulations on your marriage!
