I showed up at the beautiful St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Lincoln Park. The bride also sings in their choir. It’s a beautiful church and I always love photographing it!

Liz was inside checking out the dress before she headed down the aisle. She was a gorgeous bride!!

Her sister takes a peek at Liz touching up her makeup…

Liz’s father got to watch her adjust the veil…

Luke was in the back of the sanctuary whistling for the camera…

I loved the spring colors in her bouquet.

I loved the details on her train too!

Liz has maintained a great blog with all of her wedding adventures and now post wedding adventures. I know how hard it is to keep up a consistent blog and I asked her to show it off at her wedding! She created a post for her wedding day. Check out her blog , A Batty Life.

The guests started to arrive…

Luke was ready for Liz to make her entrance!

Liz and her father started their journey down the aisle…

They had some beautiful music at the wedding!

Liz kept eyeing Luke during the ceremony. =)

Can you really take a bad picture at a Catholic church?! They are always so great!

The Batman’s. Yes, his last name is Batman. We definitely used his last name to our advantage later! Keep reading… =)

A quick post-ceremony kiss…

Luke had to wipe away the red lipstick after that one!

The evidence.

We jumped on the trolley and Luke immediately started to play with his wedding ring. I think I have a shot like this from every wedding that I have photographed!

I love his face in this one! Liz adjusted his hair before we stepped off of the trolley for photos…

Some Lincoln Park action!

I love this one of Liz!

Don’t do it! Braxton got this shot of Luke getting ready to pose on the window ledge.

Love this one! We got a great shot similar to this during their engagement session so now they can frame them side by side! =)

I couldn’t stop shooting the bride and groom at this location.

The wedding party was over it. They were ready to get back on the trolley…

Luke loves his Sunday paper… I am still not sure how I feel about those trees?!?

And we were off to another location…

The location was, of course, the Kinzie Street Bridge. LOVE It.

And then it was time for Luke to get his Batman on.

And he did! Liz pulled off the ‘damsel in distress’ perfectly! =)

Yes!

A nice, dirty wall…

I was told that they did not have very many wedding photos of their own to choose from so we snapped a few off and we were on our way!

The Blues Brothers cop car drove by! WHAT?! That was lucky.

We had a lot of fun taking the photos around town.

But it was time for…

The reception was held at Maggianos.
I had a few minutes to grab some details before the cocktail hour started…

They left personal notes on each and every table for their guests. I thought this was a really cool idea.

And then the cocktail hour was in full swing!

The guests were anxiously awaiting the bride and groom to enter the room!

And then the bride and groom treated them to a swing dance that they had been practicing for quite some time!

So cool!

A quick thank you from the groom…

The blessing…

Luke’s brother…

Liz’s sister…

The cake!

Liz dances with her father…

And then everyone got their dance on!

These two were cracking me up! They were doing some stand-up for me out in the lobby.

Yes, they were still dancing!

No JOKE-R, I had a great time. Yeah, that was horrible. I should stick to photography and not comedy.

Have a great life together. Keep us all posted on your Batty Life!
