Martha and Ian’s big day is coming up very soon! In just over a month, this Brooklyn couple will be saying their “I do’s” in the Windy City, surrounded by their family and friends. I’ll be there with them, documenting the big day, and the three of us got together a few weeks ago to shoot their engagement session.
The leaves were still boasting their gorgeous fall colors when he had the shoot, and we could have used the entire day taking portraits around the grounds of the Lincoln Park Lily Pond.
But there were plenty of other Chicago backdrops we wanted to utilize, including the small dunes on the shores of Lake Michigan.
And I wanted to show Martha and Ian some of my favorite murals:
Then there was the rail yard in the West Loop- there were several stops in the West Loop, actually, including a spot with a fantastic view of the skyline.
Our final stop was a bar called “Bar Deville”. It’s just around the corner from where Martha and Ian used to live, and they used to frequent it. I can see why they loved it so much! The decor was right up my alley!
Can I get one of these in my house, please?
After some fun in the photo booth…
…we parted ways. I’m excited to see you again in December for your wedding, Martha and Ian!
