Mary and Pam were married in Evanston a few weeks ago, and asked me to photograph their celebration. They had a great day planned, which was organized with help from Cindy of Aisle Less Traveled, and began with a beautiful ceremony written and performed by Anita Vaughan. Below, you see Mary and Pam, all smiles as they prepare for their vows.

Serving as witness were two of their very close friends, a married couple themselves, happy and proud to be sharing in the moment. The ceremony was gorgeous, beautifully written and delivered. There were so many special moments and happy memories made.

With rings and vows exchanged, Pam and Mary were officially married! Congratulations!

Immediately after the ceremony, we headed across the street from Stone Porch by the Lake, the bed and breakfast where Pam and Mary held their ceremony, to take a few pictures on the shore of Lake Michigan. The day was stunning– not a cloud in the sky!

Next, we headed into the city to take some pictures around town. First stop: Lincoln Park’s lily pond!

Then we moved into the Loop, stopping at the LaSalle street bridge for a round of pictures.

And what’s a tour of the city without a stop a the Adler Planetarium, which boasts one of the best views of downtown.

What a fun afternoon– and what a great group with whom to explore the city. Thank you for including me in your day, Mary and Pam! Congratulations on your marriage!
