Matt and Yamali, whose wedding I’m shooting in just a few days, invited me to their home to enjoy their bridal shower with them.
Yamali’s mom met me as I entered the party and showed off her gorgeous creation.
Another bright and beautiful creation was this wall of cards, which was made by one of my former brides, Whitney.
The cards were a great backdrop to use as I took pictures of partygoers.
When all the guests arrived and had grabbed something to eat and drink, Matt and Yamali sat down to open their gifts. One of their artistically talented guests gave them this painting of the night Matt proposed marriage.
Yamali was touched by this thoughtful gift.
The next gift was something everyone can use in the home.
A Jack LaLanne power juicer! The gift giver left helpful notes on the box. Sounds like someone learned a lesson the hard way!
Yamali’s flower girls were on hand and being super-helpful in cleaning up the wrapping paper.
After the presents were all opened I began to take more detail shots. A plane shot was a must since they live right by Midway!
Another Whitney creation…
Guests wrote down their best advice for the couple and posted the cards on the clothesline. I couldn’t agree more with the advice on this card.
There were games, too! Like this quiz that guests could take about the couple.
And wedding shower bingo!
The details were so cute and well thought out.
Some of the details were not that cute, but tasty!
And then it was time for…
CAKE! That’s how I feel about cake, too.
This little guy is a pro at devouring cake.
He could have taught her a thing or two.
Yamali got the last piece!
I was packing up my things to go and saying good-bye to the guests. Yamali’s mom was still making sure every detail was perfect, even as the party was wrapping up.
Great party, Matt and Yamali! I will see you very, very soon to photography your wedding!
