I was at Salvage One for Michael and Melissa’s wedding, and things were off to a relaxed start. The bride was relaxing with her friends, enjoying their company and a glass of wine before putting on her dress.

Meanwhile, Michael was checking out the many sights their venue, Salvage One, had to offer. Along the way, he bumped in to one of the couple’s friends- one of the two friends presiding over the ceremony!

Melissa was in her dress and attending to a few final details before going to meet Michael at the “First Look” spot. A few checks in the mirror, a hug from mom and a quick dab with a tissue, and she was ready to go.

Comfy footwear is key! Melissa knew she’d be on her feet for awhile, so me made sure her feet would make it through the evening!

The couple met in Salvage One’s courtyard for their first look. After many hugs and a few moments checking each other out, we shot a few rounds of pre-ceremony portraits.

Not long after, it was time for the ceremony to begin. Michael took his place next to his twin brother who was serving as best man. Michael’s face lit up as he watched Melissa walk the aisle, escorted by her father. The bride took her place next to the groom and the ceremony began.

With rings, vows and a kiss exchanged, the two were married. Congratulations! They made their exit down the aisle…

…and off to another room to spend a few moments together alone.

Soon enough, the newlyweds were making their grand entrance into the reception hall, met with cheers and applause from their friends and family.

After dinner was served, Melissa’s father led off the tributes to Melissa and Michael with his toast.

The Matron of Honor and Best Man had toasts as well, and the newlyweds wrapped things up by thanking their guests for sharing the evening with them.

Next, Michael and Melissa met on the floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.

Then the parents had their turn, as Melissa danced with her father and Michael with his mother.

The party was in full swing as the guests packed on to the dance floor. Check out this collection of some of my favorite shots from the party:

…and a good time was had by all! Congratulations on your marriage, Melissa and Michael! And thank-you for including me in your big day!
