I met up with Mickey and Aja in their West Town neighborhood to shoot their engagement session. They pretty much run that side of town.
Aja loved this sign and she and Mickey struck a pose.
We were having a great time as they showed me around their neighborhood and all the best places to take photos.
Eventually we ended up on the street where they live.
We headed up to their apartment and took some photos with on the front steps with their cat.
It was a gorgeous day and we decided to take a walk along the river.
We couldn’t walk by the bridge without taking some pictures.
We were taking some pictures by the railroad tracks when we saw this open boxcar. We considered becoming hobos for a minute, but decided we were better off the way things are.
I don’t know what that thing was or why it was there, but I loved taking pictures of it!
Aja and Mickey were like graffiti magnets. I was finding a ton of new, great places to shoot.
Since there’s a cat in their family, we had to take a picture in front of this guy.
They were real troopers… I was dragging them all over the place.
Mickey a great hubby, though. He volunteered to carry Aja when her feet got tired.
The walking tour continued through Wicker Park.
Then we spotted Batman and Superman!
The three of us jumped through a chain-link fence to get this last photo of the day. It was worth the exertion!
Thanks for the great afternoon walk, Mickey and Aja! I had a great time… and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding!
