Leah’s friends Nancy and Anthony were getting married and asked if we could join them to photograph the wedding day festivities. Of course we would! I started my day in Rosemont, where Nancy was having her make-up done.
Nancy’s niece was studying closely as the make-up artist applied the last few touches.
With hair and make-up complete, Nancy slid into her wedding gown.
What a gorgeous bride! Everyone took a second to admire her before we headed out the door to meet up with Anthony.
Speaking of Anthony, he was back at the home he shares with Nancy getting ready. His good friend Leah was there with him, and she captured the next three images.
Anthony wasn’t the only person getting excited as they travelled to the first meeting location.
Anthony took his place and waited patiently for his first glimpse of his bride.
They both looked wonderful and were beaming as we set out to take pre-ceremony photos.
It’s not a Rosemont wedding without getting at least one shot of an airplane!
This was one of the last shoots in which I was able to incorporate the changing fall colors.
This park was a great find!
We wrapped up the shoot in the park and hopped in the limo. The bride and groom shared their first wedding toast while riding in the limo, after we picked up a few wedding party members.
The rest of the party was waiting for us at Rosewood, the restaurant that Anthony’s family owns and operates. Anthony was right at home in the kitchen!
One of the bridesmaids got to try her hand at being a server. I don’t think it was going to work out.
And Nancy couldn’t help but steal a cake!
Anthony gave a shout to round up the troops. Time to head out for more pictures!
On our way out the door, we snapped a quick picture of Anthony, his brother, their father, and the Rosewood’s head chef.
Then we all got cozy in the limo…
…and traveled to a nearby park.
The ring bearer had a blast on the slide.
Nancy had lots of XOXOXOs for her bridesmaids.
One brave bridesmaid couldn’t resist the allure of the climbing rock.
And neither could Nancy!
We had a great time at the playground…
…and even had time for one last stop.
The gang braved the trek back into a nearby timber for a photoshoot.
Anthony’s nephew was a perfect gentleman and did a great job in front of the camera.
We set up, snapped a few pictures, then headed back to the limo.
It was time to go to the church! Anthony and his groomsmen waited in the lobby for the ceremony to begin, while Nancy was preparing with her bridesmaids.
The mariachi band began playing, which was the cue for everyone to take their places.
A soloist performed…
…while Nancy was escorted down the aisle by her father.
Nancy took her place by Anthony’s side and the priest began the ceremony.
Nancy’s niece honored her aunt and uncle with a reading.
Anthony and Nancy’s daughter Phinea participated in the ceremony, too.
They shared vows, exchanged rings, and were declared husband and wife.
Congratulations!
They exited the church to the sounds of the mariachi band…
…while being showered with bubbles.
Phinea took a second to pose in her wagon, which she used to make her big entrance and exit from the church.
What a cutie.
After a round of family photos, we traveled back to Rosewood for the wedding feast.
Anthony and Nancy shared a hug on the dance floor at the end of their reception entrance.
Anthony’s brother, who was also the best man, gave his toast.
Nancy’s sister-in-law delivered a speech in their honor, too.
Nancy’s parents thanked the guests for sharing the day with their family.
And then Anthony’s father took the microphone to give some words of advice to the newlyweds.
Phinea listened closely as her grandpa finished his speech.
With speeches finished, Anthony and Nancy took to the dance floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.
The first dance wouldn’t have been complete without Phinea!
Next, Nancy danced with her father…
…and Anthony shared a moment with his mother.
Then everyone hit the dance floor!
Adam, a friend of the couple’s (and a good friend of the photography team), was one of the first to bust a move. He was also serving as DJ for the night, and he kept the beats coming all night.
Anthony’s mom didn’t have to wait long before finding a dance partner.
And Anthony’s nephew was no stranger to the dance floor.
Adam covered his ears while playing One Direction. Don’t fight it, Adam! Give in to One Direction!
This party goer had some great moves to show off.
Anthony and Nancy set up a photo booth, complete with props, for their guests to enjoy.
NOW it’s a party!
Nancy was showing off some of her best moves when I interrupted to say good-night. Leah and I had a blast!
Congratulations on your marriage, Nancy and Anthony!
