Sasha and Matt’s big day had finally arrived, and Sasha was ready to go! The ceremony and reception were held at Independence Grove and the crew was getting ready at the hotel just down the road. Maritza and Milian of Bride Style Beauty had completed everyone’s hair and makeup, so the only thing left to do was get into the dress. Sasha had the biggest smile on her face as she pulled the dress off the hanger.
Her mom and sister were on hand to help Sasha into the dress.
Sasha’s niece and nephew had big hugs for their aunt.
Grandma got her smooches in, too…
…and last but definitely not least was Sasha’s dad, who came in to see her before we left for the first look.
The bridal party loaded up the bus, watching from the windows as Matt took his place for the first look.
Matt absolutely lit up when he saw Sasha– look at his happy face!
The bride and groom climbed on the bus and after the first wet willie of the day, we were off to take pre-ceremony photos.
All the pictures were taken at Independence Grove, and our first stop was this playground. The bridal party had a great time playing on the equipment and posing for photos.
The guy on the left looks very familiar… it’s Jeremy! I photographed he and wife Heidi’s wedding a few years ago, and now he’s standing up with Sasha and Matt on their big day. It’s always great to see familiar faces!
Getting some time on the swings is pretty great, too.
Sasha and her sister gave their brothers a few pushes on the swings. They’re so good to their siblings!
We spent the rest of our time outdoors taking portraits of the happy couple. Enjoy this collection of some of my favorites!
Upon returning to the venue, we had some time to spend before the Ketubah signing. The bridal party spent that time engaging in one of my favorite pastimes- playing ‘Head’s Up’! If you haven’t played this game yet, you need to download it. And then call me to come play it with you.
Sasha, Matt and their families gathered together when it was time to read the Ketubah. Immediately after, everyone moved into the ceremony area…
…and before we knew it, Sasha was walking down the aisle with her mother and father. The ceremony was gorgeous, incorporating many of their families’ traditions. Check out this collection of images from Sasha and Matt’s ceremony:
With rings and vows exchanged, the two were married! Congratulations!
After cocktail hour, the newlyweds made their entrance to the reception and kicked off the party by sharing their first dance together as husband and wife.
Sasha and Matt took their seats at the head table and listened as the toasts began. Sasha’s parents, Matt’s brother and Sasha’s sister all had words of love and advice the two of them.
Next up was the dancing, which began with the bride and groom each sharing a dance with their parents.
And then my favorite- the Hora!! There were big smiles all around during this traditional dress- check out these happy faces:
Sasha’s dad and grandmother had almost the exact same reaction!
Even though the Hora had ended, the dancing had just begun! DJ Rachel from Toast & Jam did an awesome job making sure everyone stayed on the dance floor having fun.
The festivities were in full swing as guests enjoyed drinks, dancing and each other’s company. Take a look at all the fun in these pictures from Matt & Sasha’s dance party:
Such a happy and fun day for such a happy and fun couple. Congratulations on your marriage, Sasha and Matt, and thank-you for sharing your wedding with me!
