This is Sasha and Matt. They’ll be getting married this December, and have asked me to photograph their big day. I’d be happy to! And in preparation for the wedding, we got together recently for an engagement session. We started out in the West Loop neighborhood, taking our time and enjoying the beautiful summer day.

I initially met Matt when he was a groomsman at another wedding I photographed. I’m always flattered and appreciative when couples refer me to their friends and family!

It was a gorgeous day- perfect for a walk along the tracks!

Sasha has one of the warmest, friendliest smiles I’ve ever seen… I bet she’ll be absolutely glowing on the big day.

Matt snuck in a quick kiss while getting in a portrait in front of the city skyline.

We said good-bye to this lot…

…and headed out to walk through the neighborhood, taking advantage of the area’s finest street art.

These two were constantly laughing and joking with each other. You can tell how happy they are together- and it shows in the photos!

Beautiful! One more quick smooch, and then it was time for an outfit change.

We strolled down by the river, pausing to take a pictures on the bridge.

Such a great view of the city…

Walking around taking pictures is a lot of work! Matt and Sasha took a quick minute to rest their feet…

…but soon enough, we were back at it.

Balance on the tracks while holding hands is no easy feat…

…but luckily these two have each other to lean on.

Our last stop was the Intelligentsia in Lincoln Park for a cup of joe. This is where Matt and Sasha first met!

Congratulations on your engagement, Sasha and Matt! I’m already looking forward to December, when you say your ‘I do’s’! See you then!
