Stacy and Pete braved the recent polar temperatures, heading out to the lake to meet up with me for their engagement session.
They were super troopers, bounding through the snow, laughing and playing.
I love that they chose to tough it out and shoot outside in this freezer of a city… it made for some memorable portraits!
The trek wasn’t without hazards, though. That snow was deeper than it first appeared!
They did a little running to warm up.
Brrr! Time to head inside a nearby coffee shop for a warm-up.
Coffee was just the trick to get the blood flowing again.
Soon after our cups of joe were polished off, we were back on the streets taking more portraits. This is the place where Stacy and Pete first met.
A quick hug and smooch next to some fantastic street art…
…and then we dropped by the courtyard of Salvage One to pose in front of their Chicago sign.
It wasn’t getting any warmer out, so we headed a few steps down the block to wrap up the session with a few final poses.
This shoot was a lot of fun, Stacy and Pete! I’ll see you again in a few weeks for your wedding!
