I know Stephanie through her business, Epoch, where she works as a hair stylist. We’ve known each other for awhile, having worked weddings together, and I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her and her fiancee, Karl.
They’ll be getting married next September, and I couldn’t be happier to be documenting the day with them.
First, though, was their engagement shoot. We met up this past Halloween, and began the shoot on the west side of the city.
Karl and Stephanie are such a fun couple to work with.
They were all smiles and laughter as I posed them for photos.
And the fun was just getting started. Karl and Stephanie had a treat for me.
Costumes! It was Halloween, after all!
Our gorilla and her banana walked the streets of Chicago, holding hands.
They broke things down in the street, much to the enjoyment of passers-by.

The gorilla and banana pairing wasn’t the only costume Stephanie and Karl had for our shoot. Next up was pizza and taco!
