Our good friends Connie and Kristina at the Chicago Botanic Garden invited us to join them and a group of fellow wedding vendors at the unveiling of their new event venue, The Pullman Barn.

This adorable reception location is nestled away in one of the Botanic Garden’s quieter corners.

A trolley was waiting at the front gates to deliver the guests to the front door of the barn.

And the tables were decorated beautifully, ready for guests to enjoy the dinner catered by the staff at the Botanic Gardens.

Our group of a little more than 30 had more than enough room to stretch out on the picnic benches and enjoy the space.

Lori from LOLA Events was happy to model for me as we entered the buffet line. Those dinner plates are awesome!

And it was an awesome spread… shrimp with cheese grits, heirloom tomato salad, and an unbelievable macaroni and cheese were just three of the dishes in the buffet line. As good as all the main dishes were, the best part was the dessert! Toasted marshmallow s’mores, pumpkin cheesecake and the peach cobbler pictured below. Heaven!

And Chef Jake had homemade apple butter for everyone to take home at the end of the luncheon.

Jarrod and I left with full bellies. Sexy, huh? Thanks for inviting us, Connie and Kristina! I can’t wait to photograph my first… make that second… event at the Pullman Barn!
